Convert WMA to AAC in OSX
This is a technique that has worked for me on WMA files that are playable in quicktime using the Flip4Mac codecs.
You can convert a WMA into an AAC file using Quicktime and iTunes.
First you need a WMA file.
Open it with WMA player, aka Quicktime player.

From Quicktime, Export… Movie to MP4

Choose the appropriate settings for the audio, to match your WMA

Drag the resulting file to iTunes.. now it should open no problem!

Convert to AAC and you’re done!

It’s left as an academic exercise for the reader to find the resulting file in his user directory.
