So it looks like I’ll be heading to japan in the very near future, newest member of the Nova family. Lots of paperwork still to go, including the creation of my hanko (seal) for official purposes like banking. For my name I am hoping I can adopt ?? which sounds like my surname ‘kasari’ and I think it is well distinguished.. especially in the context of ??-?? (kasari-san)?

Well. The best thing I’ve discovered so far is the online kanji to hiragana converter and given that there are only 800 kanji I think I stand a good chance of learning all of them!
